XOXO with Sarah

Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with another 6x8 inch scrapbook layout using some Memory Maze acrylics, chipboard, stamps and stencil.
This layout is of my younger son cuddling our puppy - it's just adorable and I wanted the photo to be the main focus of the layout with a subtle but effective background. I used a brayer to create the various colours in the background, taking the palette from the photo - mainly reds with a bit of blue. I then used Memory Maze rubber stamps coloured with Posca paint pens to stamp on the background.
The title was also coloured using a white Posca paint pen. The title is a chipboard piece that can be found online here. I added some stencilling with black paint to the layout using the Noughts and Crosses mini stencil.
I finished the layout with adhering the photo and heart acrylic embellishments. I love how the red hearts compliment the colours in the photo.
I hope you enjoyed this layout and will give this mixed media look a go on your projects. If you are interested in any of the Memory Maze products, be sure to contact your local craft store or Memory Maze for your local stockist where we can place our local sales reps in contact with them.

Strong by Suzanne Franin

Hey Everyone

My turn on the Blog today make sure you check out the Facebook page to keep up to date with all that's happening - constant new products and all the latest Design Team projects
I couldn't wait to use the BOHO Skull and Feathers with a Dreamcatcher Chipboard Set I love this set it's awesome there is so much in this set to use

I saw this Quote online and thought it was so true and wanted to use it

I started of by using some of the Colour Blast Bling Colour Paste, then used some of Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint - Rusty Red, Pink Blush and Vintage Rose adding water here and there to mix the colours a bit and to also make them lighter and darker in different areas
After the paint dried I went over the paint with the Colour Blast Bling Colour Paste with the Skin Stencil so the Bling Colour Paste would stand out more

I used the Colour Blast Bling Colour Paste on the Chipboard Feather which is also from the BOHO Skull and Dream Catcher set I love how when you heat the paste it bubbles so it gave it lots of texture

I added some flowers, some Bling in a little bottle and scattered some Art Ingredient Art Stones mixed with some Helmar Tacky Craft Glue

I used some Colour Blast Colour Paste Snow White on the head of the skull and then the Antler I used the Rust Paste to make it look old then added lots of flowers to the top of the head for more dimension

I added the Art Stones and some of the  Rust Paste over the top of the flowers and then randomly added some Art Pebbles

Dream Big - By Leanne Nankervis

Hi Everyone!

Leanne here to share another project with you today, using Memory Maze Lasercuts.

Dream Big Layout

Today I'm sharing a mixed media layout using Memory Maze Lasercuts, Prima Marketing Zella Teal paper range and flowers. For my layout I did a background of some sprays and some background stamping. I did some layering behind my photo, adding some empherea in and around my photo also. I have used some lovely prima flowers and my gorgeous chipboard pieces from Memory Maze, are the stars of my layout.

I have used some gorgeous Butterflies from Memory Maze, I just love the solid butterfly flourish which I have painted in brown distress paint, then I have dry brushed in a teal colour of distress paint.

This butterfly I painted in the same colours, I used a metallic gelato over the teal paint, and I have used some art ingredient beads in the centre of the butterfly.

Gel print tutorial with Sarah

Hello crafty friends, Sarah with you today with my greatest love....gel prints using a number of layers but in just one single pulled print....lets take a look...
For these prints, I have used my 3X5 inch gel plate and the idea is to add layers on to the plate, allowing them to dry in between. I have broken this down step by step as below;
Firstly, apply your paint on to the plate and begin by adding some layers - here I have used some bubble wrap and the Memory Maze noughts and crosses stencil.
I then applied some paint to my rubber stamps and added this to the plate. The range of Memory Maze rubber stamps can be found online here.
Then using another of the Memory Maze mini stencils, I applied a darker contrasting colour.
A bit more stamping and now to let it dry.
Next we apply a thin layer of white paint. This must be thin otherwise it will only pull off the last layer added to the plate.
Press a piece of cardstock or paper firmly over the plate, rubbing all over to ensure there is good contact between the paint and the paper. Pull it up gently to reveal the print.
This is so much fun! Stay tuned for more projects where I do a similar technique on various sized Gel plates! Lets take a close up look at this print.

These are the broken circle and arrow stencils - great for any project, including backgrounds for cards, creating layers and texture on mixed media projects etc. Next up we have a new face stencil named 'mystic lady'. This is also available in a variety of sizes.
Lastly is one of my favorites - skeleton body. This stencil is available in various sizes and also has an option of coming with the skeleton head also.

Me + U by Leanne Nankervis

Hi Everyone!
Leanne he to share a layout with you today, using chipboard from Memory Maze Laser cuts.

Me + U Layout

Today I'm sharing a layout of my daughter and I together, I'm using the lovely paper range Zella Teal from Prima Marketing along with their matching flowers and empherea. And some beautiful chipboard from Memory Maze to compliment my page.

I used a vintage ornate frame, and covered it with modelling paste. I then used some texture tools for added texture into the paste. I painted it white and added some chunky embossing powder with gold glitter randomly around the frame.

The Me + U title I embossed in a white powder, then used a chunky powder to match the frame.
